There's a couple other spaces around the board. Do your best to hinder others and get through as fast as possible. This is usually the biggest way to get BP, so it's a good idea to do your best to lap around. Once you have past all four checkpoints, you can go back to the start point and you will get a huge BP bonus (they call it a "lap bonus", cause you went one lap around the map) based on how many panels you own and a couple other factors. The player icons on the right side of the screen will keep track of which you have past by so far. You do not need to land on these, but rather just walk past them. When you walk over a checkpoint, you will get a set amount of BP depending on the board you're playing on, along with 1 random card to use for whatever you like. There is one checkpoint of each color (blue, red, yellow, green). this is done by traveling throughout the board and walking over each of the checkpoint spaces. Now, the main goal of the game is to get the BP limit. You can spend additional BP to increase the level of the space (up to lvl 5) to make the BP penalty for someone landing on it even higher. If you land on your own space again or land on a checkpoint (checkpoints will be explained momentarily), you are given the option of upgrading your space. You will have to choose between keeping them for purchasing new spaces, or using them to get these bonuses. here's a few examples: 1 Key: Stop a chosen player, making their next turn forfeit 2 Keys: Allow you to turn and go in any direction for this next roll 3 Keys: All of your BP spaces have double BP costs if someone lands on them for a few turns 1 Hat: Dice x 2, you can roll two dice for this next turn 2 Hats: Dice x 3, you can roll three dice for this next turn 1 Crown: BP Guard, for the next couple turns, any BP minus will have no effect on you 1 Question Mark: Lottery, a random effect will be given to you Remember, you only have five cards. You are also able to use the cards in the menu before you roll for your turn to do a variety of things. If you buy spaces right next to that space and use the same icon, they will chain together, increasing their BP penalty if someone lands on it. The space will turn to your color and the icon will go on the space. Any time you want to buy a space, you are required to give up one card to place on the space, designating it is yours. They come in four varieties: key (attack command), hat (magic command), crown (haven't checked :P), and question mark. When you start the game, five random cards from your command deck go into your hand.
Also, in order to purchase the space, you will need a card. If anyone lands on that space afterward, they will be required to give the amount of BP on the space to you (not the same as what you bought it for, but still a decent amount). When you land on the space, you can spend that amount of BP (from your current BP) to buy the space. Each space in the game has a BP number cost.
Once this happens, you just have to walk over the starting point (the "lap" point) to win. Your only goal is to make accumulated BP reach the limit. When people steal BP from you or you lose BP, both numbers will drop. Current is how much you can spend on things, and accumulated is how much you've gained total so far throughout the game. You have two BP numbers: current and accumulated. You collect BP by moving throughout the board, stealing from others, and landing on special spaces. You all start with around 1500 BP depending on the board you chose, and the first person to reach the BP limit (depends on the board and how much you set, usually like 5k) and cross the starting point, wins the game. The game can consist of up to 3 players (or AI). You also can play it in the Mirage Arena with friends once you unlock it (or with AI, or with AI and friends). Command board is a game you unlock in the main menu at a certain point in the story. Decided to repost this from another topic for anyone that needs it, and made a few clarifications.
